GPS Ghost

Data deletion instructions

GPS Ghost is a developer and QA testing tool for simulating GPS coordinates on Android devices. It respects your right to control your data. Since GPS Ghost stores all data locally on your device with no backend or user accounts, data deletion is simple and immediate.

1. How Data Is Stored

GPS Ghost stores all data locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This includes:

  • User preferences (measurement units, map style, language)
  • Saved routes (waypoint coordinates and labels)
  • Install date (for trial period tracking)

No data is stored on any external server operated by us. GPS Ghost has no backend, no accounts, and no server-side data.

2. Delete Your Data

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it by:

  • Uninstalling the app — removes all app data from your device
  • Clearing app data — go to your device's Settings → Apps → GPS Ghost → Clear Data (or Storage → Clear Data on some devices)

Both methods will permanently remove all locally stored data.

3. What Data Is Deleted

When you clear app data or uninstall GPS Ghost, the following is removed:

  • All saved routes and waypoints
  • All user preferences and settings
  • Install date and trial tracking data

There is no server-side data to delete.

4. Third-Party Data

  • RevenueCat retains anonymous purchase records per their own retention policy. This data is linked to an anonymous device ID, not personal information. You can contact RevenueCat directly for their data deletion process.
  • Mapbox API calls are transient — no persistent user data is stored by Mapbox on our behalf.
