Data deletion instructions
The SOS App respects your right to control your personal data. This section explains how to delete your account, remove specific data, and what happens when you do.
1. Delete Your Account (All Data)
To permanently delete your account and all associated data:
- Open The SOS App on your device
- Go to your Profile tab
- Scroll down and tap "Advanced Options"
- Tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted.

2. Delete a Saved Place
To remove a saved place (geofence) and its associated alerts:
- Open the app and go to the Map tab
- Tap on the place (geofence) you want to remove
- Tap the delete/remove button on the place details
- Confirm the deletion — the place and all its associated alerts will be removed
3. Delete a Trip
To remove a single trip and its route data:
- Open the app and go to the Trips/History section
- Find the trip you want to delete
- Tap on the trip to open it
- Tap the trash bin icon to delete it
- Confirm the deletion — the trip route and all its data will be permanently removed

Delete All Trips & Stats
To delete all your trips and driving stats at once:
- Go to your Profile tab
- Scroll down and tap "Advanced Options"
- Tap "Delete All My Trips & Stats"
- Confirm the deletion — all trip routes, driving statistics, and related data will be permanently removed

4. What Data Is Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:
- Account profile (name, email, phone number)
- GPS location history
- Emergency SOS alert history
- Geofence places and alerts
- Check-in history
- Battery alert history
- Family member connections
- Saved trips and route history
- Subscription information (RevenueCat is notified to cancel)
- Push notification tokens
5. What Data Is Retained
None. All user data is permanently deleted from our servers immediately upon request. There is no additional retention period.
6. Alternative Method
If you cannot access the app, you can request data deletion by emailing support@thesosapp.com with the subject line "Delete My Data" and including the email address associated with your account.
We will process your request within 7 business days.
The Hunter App
Data deletion instructions
The Hunter App respects your right to control your personal data. This section explains how to delete your account, remove specific data, and what happens when you do.
1. Delete Your Account (All Data)
To permanently delete your account and all associated data:
- Open The Hunter App on your device
- Go to Settings tab
- Tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted.
2. Delete Individual Data
Delete a Hunting Track
Go to your hunting history, tap on the track you want to remove, and tap the delete button.
Delete a Harvest Log
Go to your harvest logs, swipe left on the entry, and tap delete.
Delete an Interest Point
Tap on the interest point on the map, then tap the delete button.
Delete a Firearm
Go to your gun collection, tap the firearm you want to remove, and tap delete.
Remove an Emergency Contact
Go to Settings, tap Emergency Contacts, and remove the contact you wish to delete.
3. What Data Is Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:
- Account profile (name, email, avatar)
- All hunting GPS tracks and waypoints
- All harvest logs and photos
- All interest points and photos
- Firearm collection and photos
- Emergency contacts
- SOS alert history
- Map preferences and filter settings
- Gamification progress (badges, XP, rank)
- Weather notification settings
- Push notification tokens
- All photos stored in Supabase storage
4. What Data Is Retained
None. All user data is permanently deleted from our servers upon account deletion. On-device cached data (AsyncStorage) is cleared on logout. Offline map packs remain on-device until the app is uninstalled.
5. Alternative Method
If you cannot access the app, you can request data deletion by emailing contact@scintilladev.com with the subject line "Delete My Hunter App Data" and including the email address associated with your account.
We will process your request within 7 business days.
GPS Ghost
Data deletion instructions
GPS Ghost does not create user accounts and does not send any data to our servers. There is no server-side data to delete. All data lives exclusively on your device.

1. No Server-Side Data
We hold no personal data about you. There is no account, no profile, no usage log, and no backend associated with GPS Ghost. There is nothing for us to delete on our end.
2. What Is Stored Locally
- Saved routes — waypoints and route names you save inside the App
- App preferences — speed unit (mph/km/h), selected language
3. How to Delete Local Data
Uninstall the App
Uninstalling GPS Ghost removes all locally stored data instantly.
Clear App Data via Android Settings
Go to Settings → Apps → GPS Ghost → Storage → Clear Data. This erases all saved routes and preferences without uninstalling the App.
Delete Individual Saved Routes
Open GPS Ghost → Saved Routes → tap the route → delete and confirm.
